Pokhara February 2014

We went to a wheelchair distribution in Pokhara. We had heard it was a very beautiful place and that a lot of tourists go there to start their treks. It was not disappointing. It is a very beautiful place. The pictures can not show the magnificent scene of the Himals when the sun comes up in the morning. It was a hike well worth the awesome  view of God's creations. We hope to be able to go back again sometime before our mission is complete to see it again.

Pokhara airport. It was only a 30 minute flight from Kathmandu.

Hotel Meera where we stayed in Pokhara. Not too far from the
shopping area.

Lake at Pokhara. Can't remember the name.

Lake view from the top of the World Stupa
Gold statues around the outside of the world stupa

World Stupa. The women just flock to
have their picture with Mike. He is so
irresistable.
More gold statues around World Stupa

More gold around World Stupa. We had to hike about a mile up
to this huge Stupa. It was very beautiful.
This was outside a museum we went to in Pokhara.

Sunrise hike to see the Himals

Sun coming up. It was very interesting to see how fast the sun
moves.

Amazing view, when the sun hit the top of the mountains.

Pathway climbing down from the sunrise hike.
